Helping entrepreneurs get more business-savvy, on-line & off-line.
Let's create functional, amazing websites
For fast, efficient delivery, I design using flexible template-based layouts that give you 100% control after delivery.
I work from my home office & communicate primarily via telephone and Skype - this keeps my overhead costs lower, allowing me to charge less than bigger businesses.
How does this work?
You contact me with your request via my Contact Me page - there are drop-down options to identify what you need.
I email you my information and other requirements.
You provide me with the information and comply with the other requirements - note that this may take some time on your part.
After your deposit payment is cleared, I contact you for further discussion & I design your website / blog.
You review the completed product, I will make the necessary changes, you complete a 2nd review to confirm, and if required I would make a 2nd set of changes.
You sign off the website, I hand over the website + manual, and deliver the training as required with final payment of the remaining costs.
What will I need for my website?
A domain name (your website address).
A website host (rental space for your website, so that internet users can access your site).
Images / photographs (I provide guidelines).
Text content (the wording and copy-writing on your pages - I provide guidelines).
Contact details, as appropriate.
You will receive a check-list from me, to ensure that the information is complete. I'll talk you through it.
What do I receive from you?
The website/blog (which is your asset).
Ongoing information & guidance through the Small Business Crux blog.
What happens after that? You refresh you website with new products / offers / content / blog entries - in line with your business goals.
You update your marketing material like brochures and business cards with your website URL.
You promote your website through a few channels, like industry directories, Facebook, GooglePlus, Pinterest, or Twitter - it all depends on your marketing strategy, whether you're expanding, down-sizing, or consolidating, and the industry you're in, et cetera.
What if I have a question which is not covered here? If your question is not listed, please contact me here - I will respond to you soonest.
What is search engine optimisation (SEO)? Approximately 80% of site visitors find your site through search engines like Google. SEO helps your site to become more easily identifiable and visible to the search engines.
SEO is performed through your domain name, using relevant keywords, adding tags and meta-tags, as well as through links.
The best way to make your website more visible is by having / writing unique content on your site. One way of doing this is by having a Blog on your site.
Will my website look good on cellphones, tablets, and other mobile devices? Yes - I use responsive themes, which means that each of your pages automatically re-sizes and re-arranges its content to fit the device screen of the person accessing your site.
What if I already have a domain name? Then you don't need to buy another domain name - we'll use the one you have.
What happens if I change my mind about my domain name? Domain names are purchased for a fixed time period, often 1 or 2 years, or 5 years. Think of it as renting your domain name, but you pay up-front.
So even if you change your mind, that domain name has already been reserved for you to use for that period, and cannot be re-allocated to someone else until the period is up.
If you choose, you can buy a new domain name for us to use - that would mean you own 2 domain names, even if you use only one.
Can I build my own website? Of course you can! The internet has tons of information for the DIY enthusiast, and DIY websites are no different.
Would you encourage me to build my own website? Definitely, yes - if that is your core business.
However, if the crux of your business is import/export, or electrical works, or beer brewing, I would have to say, "Not such a great idea!"
Purely because each learning curve = time, and time = money. So it would cost you far more in terms of time/money to learn to do it yourself, than to pay someone else to do it.
